Privacy and data handling
What is collected
The site collects only what you type into the attendance request and concept proposal forms: your name, email address, organization, country of organization, role, and the free-text answers you provide. The site does not set tracking cookies, does not use third-party analytics, and does not record IP addresses with submissions.
The forms use a bot-detection service (Cloudflare Turnstile) to reduce automated spam. That service receives a signal from your browser when you submit a form and is governed by its operator's privacy terms.
Where it is stored
Submissions are stored in the site's own data store on Netlify, the hosting provider for this site, and are transmitted only over encrypted connections. A copy of each submission is sent by email to the organizers.
Who can see it
Submissions are visible to the workshop organizers and to anyone they designate to help review requests and proposals. Your email address is used only to acknowledge and confirm your submission and to communicate about the workshop. It is not shared with other attendees, with the sponsor, or with any third party.
If you opt in on the attendance form, your name, organization, and country may appear on an attendee roster shared with other participants. If you do not opt in, you are omitted from the roster.
If your concept proposal is accepted, it may appear in workshop materials under the visibility option you select on the form: attributed, anonymous, or not listed.
How long it is kept
Submission records are retained through the workshop and for the preparation of its outputs, and are deleted no later than 90 days after the workshop date. Aggregate information with no personal data, such as the number of attendees by sector, may be retained indefinitely.
Your choices
To correct or withdraw a submission, or to have your data deleted before the retention period ends, write to steven.s.mcclure@jpl.nasa.gov from the address you submitted with.
